County Council Redistricting

County redistricting occurs every ten years after the census.  The next will be in 2012.  Changes to county redistricting requires a super-majority vote of at least five of our seven councilmen.  Currently, Baltimore County has only one Republican councilmen, our district's own Bryan McIntire.

The RRC will be working to ensure that the Republican Party gains at least two more seats on the council in the 2010 elections so that the Republicans can prevent Democrat redistricting, even if it means working outside our district.

Council Pension Reform

County Councilmen receive very generous pension packages, as well as health care benefits and high salaries.  In light of the current recession, many find it important to revisit these benefits and push for meaningful reform.
